Iowa

Iowa is where it all begins. Iowans are the first in the nation to cast their ballots, and those results are a pretty good indicator of the way voters across the country will vote.

If Hillary wins Iowa, and there is a very good chance she will since the state has voted Democratic in five of the last six elections, she will begin the race ahead. All the candidates want to win in Iowa for that very reason and some of the most fierce battles will be waged in America’s Heartland this election season for those highly coveted six electoral votes.

Iowa is truly a swing state, though, and prior to 1988 voted primarily Republican. Hillary is not the popular candidate with the state’s most conservative Christians, but some political experts think adding former state governor Tom Vilsack to the ticket could create a win for Hillary there, but that’s unlikely to happen.

The truth is no one can say for sure what to expect in Iowa.
