So why has a state known for voting back and forth between the parties suddenly veered right?

Some experts say Obama’s poor showing in the state was a race issue, and considering the recent racially sparked violence in Ferguson, that not hard to believe.

Perhaps the only good that has come from the horrors Ferguson endured is that activists began working in the city to register voters. The GOP called those working to register voters “disgusting and inappropriate,” afraid, no doubt, the new voters from a background of poverty and a lack of representation will swing the state back to the left in 2016.
